Who are we ?

KARMI is a Non-Governmental, Non-political, Voluntary Organisation that has been working in Kalahandi District of Odisha since 1997 with the objectives to bring sustainable change in the socio-economic condition of rural, tribal, disadvantaged and oppressed masses in the community with a group of experience and trained social workers.

The office of the organization is situated at Kadobhatta village of Mahaling GP in Golamunda block and Coordination office situated in M.Rampur and other project offices in concerned block. KARMI has been registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, FCRA by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India and Income Tax Act 12A and 80G.

Our Programme

Education

The education and awareness programme has remained the focus and mainstay of all the activities undertaken by KARMI. It has been firm believes that the right kind of education can able to build the character of the individuals and development.

Community Growth

People organization acts as a platform where they can be identify, analyze their problems and find out the better solution by themselves to solve their problems. KARMI to achieve the objective given special emphasis on Villages committees promotion, formation of youth clubs.

Agriculture & Livelihood

The main programme of KARMI is the development of Agriculture based on rural livelihood by modern tech with climate justice, capacity building of farmers and market linkage. Conduct impact study and assess their level of progress in terms of sustainable agricultural practice.

Health

KARMI has been undertakes activities based on community health management to mobilize the rural poor especially the tribal people and woman on community health awareness and preventive majors. So we takes projects and programmes for promotion of community health.

Mission:

Sustainable Societal development / change through capacitating the weaker sections/ poor/ oppressed and their institutions by organizing training, exposure, workshop, seminar, study & research with greater emphasis on involvement & participation for educational, socio - economic , political & moral development with gendered in built bottom - up PME process.

Vision:

A changed society with more social peace gender equity & justice , in favour of the poorest and the weaker section of the society irrespective of Caste, Creed and Gender.
